Well Summer is gone and the cold weather is already starting in..
When you live here you really gain a serious appreciation for good weather when it comes around for a precious few months during the year.

Hey there GL,
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog- very informative and accurate. I have a question for you. I am a graduate student in America very interested in an amazing Siberian intl student in my program. We’ve met and gone out to dinner on 3 occasions or so, interacted in various social settings, and went to the theatre once. I feel we definitely have a spark, and have engaging conversations at length. We hold one another’s gaze, etc. She explained to me the Russian philosophy on friendship and considered me to be within her inner circle of friends, which surprised her at how quickly that happened. I want to convey to her that I am interested in being more than friends, since she is by far more interesting and sweet than the vanilla American girls around me. We hug when we part, and I kissed her, somewhat awkwardly, at the end of a night when we had a couple of drinks and danced. I am trying to figure out if there is interest as something more than friends, but fear losing her friendship. Do Russian women take things more slowly, physically, than Americans….and what do you think would be the best way for me to convey my feelings?

WOW!!! This was my first time at your site and I am in Heaven!!!! For some reason I have always found Russian women very attractive. Looking at your posts I realize I would love to visit and see the women first hand. Problem is I have no clue where to go!!

You do not want to find yourself into the dreaded LJBF(lets just be friends) zone. Anything worth having is worth risking everything for. You must initiate touch within the first three minutes of meeting a girl. That way when you go for the kiss it won’t be awkward.
The language of love is not spoken with words. Take what you want, if you ask and mope around about it she will see your fear and you will look unattractive. Always lead in your interactions, never follow, thats what women want trust me.

What I have in mind is “A Railway Station for Two”…here you can see Russian women of two opposite shades that, I think, would balance one’s view.
And yeah, the climactic scene is set in Siberia (I think so) to a superb score.

#3 reminds me a lot like my first Russian love Galina, back about 2001 or so with huge deep blue eyes, smooth tan skin and beauty that stopped traffic in all directions. Im not exagerating. We were walking downtown La Jolla CA one day and crossed the road to eat at a restaurant, I watched every eye follow her footsteps across the intersection. Then when the light turned green not one car moved. It seems it was 3 or 4 minutes before someone woke up from their trance and honked their horn. She was young,, 26, about 5′ 4″ 104 pounds and breath taking. Waking up in the morning looking into her deep blue eyes was the closest thing to heaven I have ever been. Until I met moya Tanichka,

Having traveled to Russia and Ukraine, the women there are absolutely stunning, not just in their appearance, but in their attitudes, views, and, of course, in their elegance. It is difficult to put into words unless you have been there and experienced meeting these remarkable women face-to-face.
I have met and spoken to many Russian and Ukrainian ladies and they are a very rare ladies to meet, indeed! You will never look at other women quite the same way again once you meet and talk to a Russian woman.
And now I am engaged to such a beautiful girl! She is, indeed, a treasure to have in my life! And I count myself among the very lucky minority out there…
