Great blog, I’ve been reading up on this and I am really impressed. One question, and this may be really ignorant, but what are the grooming habits of Russian women when it comes to shaving?
I’ve heard that they don’t shave or don’t do it as regularly as women in Western cultures. Armpits, legs and every other place besides top of the head shaving is commonly associated as something westerners expect of women. I find it hard to believe that eastern European women wouldn’t also do the same. They same to take more care in how they look, so I don’t see how this could be neglected unless it is cultural.
Anyway rw_man, I was looking for your insight on this matter. Keep up the good work.

Well I’d have to say this is the very first comment I’ve received on shaving..
Anyways to answer your question..
Yes.. they shave.. and I’ve never had an issue with “hairy women” the entire time I’ve been here.
Whoever told you that they don’t shave is probably confusing them with some other groups of European Women who don’t.

all this about hairyness,i will answer once and for all. I’m from Russia, but i live in the US. came here when i was 5. anyway, women in russia prefer to wax they’re legs, and if they have naturally light skin, they don’t shave they’re armpits. the hair on the arms doesn’t really matter, even if it’s dark(unless it’s really thick). they do, however, usually pluck or wax eyebrows. i don’t think they shave they’re pubic area unless they show it to people every once in a while…
