This remarkable video shows a Russian Woman’s Choir performing in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk.
It’s fantastic to see the traditional identities of these inspiring ladies just beaming through during their performance.
And it’s worth noting that the emotions I felt watching it completely reminded me of just how awed I was when I first arrived and started to experience this deep and powerful ocean of femininity for the first time.
If anything.. what you are about to see is a good microcosm for some of the brilliant facets of female grace, beauty and magnificence I’ve personally been touched with over here..
And it’s a greatness with which I can only attempt to convey.
So enjoy..
And please excuse me while I go crash my ship into the rocks now…

Every morning, when I wake, I check out this blog. And today, I am treated to a choir of angels singing… and I haven’t even had my first cup of coffee yet. So what do I do? I turn up the volume, sit back and let their voices carry me away.
WOW!
Thanks tons.
What a glorious way to start the day.

I hope that the arts, such as this performance, are still popular the FSU. What an elegant evening it would be to be able to take your wonderful Russian wife out for a performance such as this.

Well said SunnyinSanDiego, that paints a pleasant picture.
Russia has culture expressed through beautiful women singing beautiful songs. We have debris expressed through Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears.
I am starting to understand “cultural bankruptcy”.

Randall,
What I am about to say has been said before by many “cultural philosophers”. (My phrase, I think.)
America has brought on its “cultural bankruptcy” by allowing the publicity and merchandising machines behind the likes of The Brat and Amy, and earlier, Madonna, to penetrate our souls without any critical thinking. Even the critics of popular culture have been co-opted.
An abundance of money seems to coincide with a shrinking of grey matter. No wonder I want to live in the Ukraine for a while.
‘Bye

Classic elegance. The director and choir are both examples of Russia’s longstanding cultural richness.
P.S. Gl, I’ve sent a couple of e-mails to your address, but have received no response. Did you get them?

Thanks everyone..
Sunny, you can take a date to a performance like this no problem and I don’t think classical stuff like this is going to leave the FSU anytime soon. In fact it maybe one of the last bastions holding on to it.
Hi Sam,
Sorry for the delay.. just wrote you back..

Gregorian chant is very popular in many regions of the world. Even America and Canada. Very sweet with the right voices.

i’m russian, 22 years old. When i was small i attended chorus musical school and sang at twe church. It was fantastic!thank you for creating this website, because when i was abroad i avoided to say that i’m russian. most of the foreigners think that russian girls are easy, it’s not true. Russian women are very well educated, spiritually rich and faithful.
