Amazing pics again GL! The girls are absolutely stunning
I can’t wait until I get to see beautiful women such as these in person.
April 26, 2008 at 9:25 pm
As always, these are lovely young ladies that are a wonderful sight to behold…..:-)It’s good to know there are young women who embrace and revel in their femininity, not try to be a man in a woman’s body.

So very lovely. Familiar as well.

I couldn’t find the proper place to post this information, so I figured that the most recent article would probably give it the best exposure. (Perhaps GL can find a better place.)
I would advise anyone trying to learn Russian (or who has to retain any other information) to read the article “Want to Remember Everything You’ll Ever Learn? Surrender to This Algorithm” in Wired Magazine, at this link:
http://www.wired.com/medtech/health/magazine/16-05/ff_wozniak?currentPage=all
The short version is that this researcher has identified optimal review intervals for permanently retaining information, and has created a computer program, SuperMemo ($45 for the Windows version), to automate this process for students.
I haven’t started using it yet, so I can’t provide any kind of a personal endorsement, but this is the first language learning type software whose functionality actually makes sense, while being cost-effective. I have looked at other software packages that cost $300 per level, and they seem quite superficial, especially at that price.
As one who is multilingual, I know that actually becoming fluent is not trivial and also requires the use of books, and this software looks like an excellent tool for a serious student.
By the way, I like the Learning Russian book (with CD), which costs $20 (US), from the Everything Series, published by Adams Media, as an elementary introduction. And then the Ultimate Russian series from Living Language (Random House), which costs a total of about $100 for both the Beginner-Intermediate and the Advanced Book-CD sets, at Amazon.com.
I am “upgrading” from another Slavic language, so these books may be easier for me than for others, but I haven’t found any that are better. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has other suggestions.

The second picture is my new favorite one of Inessa.
It is amazing how the inner glow of true beauty doesn’t need fancy clothes, or face paint, or flashy ornaments.
April 27, 2008 at 8:08 am
Lord…
April 27, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Who said Russian girls are only attractive because of makeup and fine, fashionable clothes? A mistaken person for sure. Inessa is always a favorite, number one is lovely, and number three has a smile to cure the worst of the worst bad moods.
April 28, 2008 at 11:06 am
Inessa is wearing a ring on her left hand. She never looks the same twice, I can’t figure out what it is about her.
April 29, 2008 at 1:06 am
I didn’t realize her at all either. I thought it was another cutie that GL was introducing us too. I’ve mentioned this to GL about her many looks and he says that’s it’s a very common thing to expect from these women. We’re just noticing it more with Inessa because we’ve seen more pictures of her than any other girl here.

There was something I noticed today and it made me think of these pictures.
I went back to my old company today, I used to own 50% of it, now I own about 7% and work out of my place as a consultant. I got there early for a meeting, and just sat outside in the lobby waiting. While I was there, just about everybody that worked there came in (it was early) to work and spoke to me. All the men were walking a leisurely pace, stopped, joked, and offered times to get together for lunch or a cold one after work. The women, shot past me as if they were running from a fire. They were all nice, they said “hi”, but theirrows were knitted and their fists were clinched and they were walking so fast I could hear their shoes like a galloping race horse. Almost all of these women worked for me, but none of them even made an effort to slow down or speak at length, just the old plastered on smile to a guy that could still affect their work life. I watched as they zoomed around the office working on a paticular project they were printing out. I picked up a memo they were working on and it was about some health fair that had nothing to do with our company. They were ripping into work at Mach 1, and working at break neck speed on something that was irrelvant to what they were being paid to do. When I brought it up to one of the partners, he said they were always stressed out and in a hurry EVEN IF THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO. His exact words were: They thrive on drama and misery, as long as they get the work done and leave us alone it is OK. We can’t let them go for acting like that.
We often comment on how beautiful these women’s skin looks. After looking at the women this morning, I can say they one factor has to be stress. You can’t live like these women and not have it take a huge toll on you. A woman I dated four years ago bumped into me recently, I didn’t recognize her. She was the typical woman I date - degreed, divorced, stressed beyond belief, and sociopathic. The reason I didn’t recognize her is that in four years she had aged about ten. She looked far older than her years, and instead of catching up on old times, she complained bitterly about her life for as long as I would listen.
I thought about how we all note that these Russian women seem calm, serene, warm. I believe it show through from the inside out, and I am more convinced that a cold, hard, superficial, bitter womans heart will show though as well.

I’ve really noticed how this particular type of woman spends her workday. Right now is tupperware and candle season. These women walk around, pass around catalouges, talk about what they are going to buy, and generally waste hours upon hours on this, and NOBODY says a thing about it.

Hi rw and all,
It was nice to stumble upon this site again, after such a long absense.
So much seems to have gone on since I last was here. It is nice to see that you have not disappointed avid followers, by continuing to display photos of Russian beauties. It is also very nice to see video clips too. Well done rw.
Whatever happened to Canuck? Does anyone hear from him? He was leaving his home town to head for Russia if I remember rightly. It was all around the time of the non sense from “LukeSkywalker” and his friend. Also did anything come of “Expat”?
Sorry if this has all been covered but I tried to scour the last few topics and they don’t seem to be mentioned.

A quick addition to John’s post above.
For anyone thinking about learning Russian. I guess there are a few of you here. If you don’t want to splash out $300 or so on a Russian language program but still want to impress your lady. There are Basic phrase books and dictionaries out there. Then if your serious you can always move on to a program later that will enable you to apply your new knowledge, and build your confidence.
However, be careful!
I know from past experience that there are 2 types out there. Those that have English and Russian words as there are spelt (ie. in cyrillic text), impossible if you are a beginner. And then there are the books that have Russian words, that are printed in pheonetic English. Believe me these are much much easier to learn from. And enable you to get used to saying words as they are supposed to be pronounced.
A note, however, I have found that sometimes I have three different texts telling me to pronounce certain words slightly differently. So I supose there is no definitive way really, and this possibly is derived by different translators asking different people and picking up very subtle differences in pronunciation and possible regional accents and ’slang’ when compilling their texts. But these books will definately help. The above also applies to the the spoken CD’s too.
Just a tip that may save you from buying a book that is a wasted purchase. And they are not expensive, usually they only cost around $10 - $12 (£6-£8 UK).

Yeah I wanted to give anyone reading a heads up on that Supermemo program. I bought the $45 version, have been unable to even get the thing installed and still after over a week have not gotten any e-mail response to either address the problem with the install or gotten the e-mail with the passcode to unlock all the entire program, which wouldn’t do me any good anyway but still, I think this is poor customer service in any event. If anyone is still curious to try it, I would recommend just using the online version and paying as you go through the programs they have there.
Also, I don’t think the books written in phonetic english are anymore easier to learn for a begginer. I’m a novice and I started with the Cryllic alphabet, it’s not that difficult to learn. Here’s a site that was a great help to me… http://www.dorogadomoj.com/se03abv.html

hallo, everyone!
I have written one post which you might be intrested: HOW TO CONTROL YOUR HUSBAND
http://shaktipower.wordpress.com/2008/05/13/how-to-control-your-husband/
I wonder what YOU would say to it. thanks a lot!
May 15, 2008 at 3:20 pm
I’ve been away from this blog for way to long - I’ve been busy with my beautiful Russian wife and our daughter.
As an American male, I have found happiness - men it is possible! Let me give you hope. Don’t despair over the modern western woman. Outsource to Eastern Europe.
Axinia, I was not familiar with you or your blog(s). I had a bad initial reaction to your “how to control your husband” tag - then I read your “tips”. My wife can control me with those tactics any time!!!
May 15, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Rule62, happy to hear you enjoy your family!
Yes, the title is a bit provocative, but it is true
Great that you got the point!

Fun post Anixia,
It’s amazing about many discussions seem to releate to the phrase, “The Russian man may be the head of the household, but the Russian woman is the one who steers it.” It seems to ring true and be reinforced by discussions such as yours. There is respect, love, and affection used to accomplish this though with a Russian Woman.
Perhaps you will write a response to that for us men to the girls? By the way I also really enjoyed your post about long hair styles too. They are a must for me.

Adding on tom thumb’s thread,
There are regional differences in Russian pronunciation. Like southern or Texas drawls are different, a Ukrainian accent is different from a Moscow accent. I haven’t had a lesson in Russian for four and a half DECADES but I won’t ever forget that aside from my Ukrainian born Russian language instructor. So, do not worry about the differences in the pronunciation guides. Just learn. (Or relearn in my case.)

axinia, your post is brilliant! I was laughing the whole way through at the verbal judo. For the record, it works on me: make me feel good, and good about myself, and I am yours. Just like the cat in the picture.

Wow GL, beautiful women in the photos! I always enjoy this site. So SunnyInSanDiego… I’m in San Diego also. I am here living with my beautiful new wife Elena from Siberia. We are very happy together. She has lots of Russian Girlfriends. None are Americanized. Perhaps we can hook you up. Anyway let me know how to contact you. At least we can get together and have a talk. Okay, take care All.

Keep at it.

RWTiger, can you tell us more of your experience and how you ended up with your wife Elena? I know I would appreciate it.

RWtiger,
I’m actually planning a trip to Siberia now to meet a very special Siberian Princess in August. We are IM’ing and e-mailing eachother back and forth almost every day now and I am hopelessly hooked. She is really private so I can’t go in to any details but it’s very surreal to be able to chat and go to meet the most incredibly beautiful and intelligent woman you’ve ever met in your entire life. Guys, don’t shake me because I might wake up. GL has had 100% to do with this entire event in my life so guys, he’s the man.
To get a glimpse of what GL has said by “women everywhere”, go to youtube and search for “Russian women - the real deal” and view part one. There is a few minutes of the author walking around a Russian mall viewing the girls. Wow I stared at that open mouthed the whole time. The rest is about a guy power dating through a few girls and is kind of interesting, but the mall is really neat to see.
“Every day you spend not pursuing this is just wasted time, a wasted day” - a paraphrase of a conversation GL and I had. I’ve taken it to heart.

Greetings Gentleman,
Thanks for your interest and Elena and I and sorry it’s been awhile since I’ve come to this site and have not written sooner. As all of you I was very interested in Russian women and had read a lot of good information about them on the web. As you know it’s also a confusing and shark infested environment. My interest was in finding a real traditional and family oriented woman who was not ruined by feminism. Many years ago I became disenchanted with American women but couldn’t understand the reason at the time. Now I know what and how this has happened to them.
I set out a couple of years ago to find my dream girl in Russia or the Ukraine. To make a long story short I went through many trial and tribulations with scammers and sharks. I became very good at being able to tell if a woman was real or a fake.
I met Elena on a website called Mate One in October 2006. We talked for 6 months and she was the most warm and loving woman I ever met. I decided I would go to Moscow where she had recently moved from Siberia with her sister Svetlana. I was apprehensive about going to Russia but was driven by love and a desire for happiness with her.
It was a long trip but well worth it. When I met her It was definitely love at first site. We had a wonderful time together. Her sister is an English/Russian interpreter so this was very helpful at first. I also had an electronic language translation device that was very helpful. Overall the experience was very positive for me in Russia. I really would have been lost there without her however. She took very good care of me. We stayed in a rental apartment I found online. I was astonished at all the beautiful and elegant Russian women in Moscow. My jaw was on the ground almost the whole trip. Guys, all I can say is get over there!
I made one more trip in March of 2007 and decided she would be my wife. I brought her here on a K1 fiancée visa and she arrived September 12th 2007. We were married in December of 2007. She has been my constant partner and companion. Nothing is more important to her than having a warm, loving and successful family. I am very patient and loving with her. She does not try to compete with me for power or to be in charge. She sees that as my job as the leader of the family. She does like to be consulted about big decisions however. She is kind, easy to understand and most importantly logical. My job is to make the money and hers is to take care of me, the house and the domestic chores. We just fell right into this pattern.
I couldn’t be happier with my new wife. It cost a lot to go there and to bring her here but with what I know now and how wonderful my life is it really is priceless. All I can say guys is find your girl and get over there!

Great Story RWTiger..
Very happy for you two. Is there an age difference between you guys? When are the babies coming? :))

Hi rw-man,
Thanks for your question. We are 14 years apart. I’m 46 and she is 32. A baby is coming at some point
we are just waiting for the right time and place. Her biggest desire in life is to be a mother and have a happy family! Best of luck in your quest.

I finally got a chance to go and meet RWTiger and his Elena and what an experience! She is very beautiful and wonderful in every way. The love these two share is something that I just haven’t seen in a long time. They are VERY in love and it is a truly beautiful thing to see.
I also got to experience my first Russian meal prepared by a Russian woman
It was delicious. I’m very grateful that I got to meet them before I head over to Russia. I’m all the more excited to get over there and experience this for myself.
