Now I’m one of those guys who has never been a real big Tennis fan.
And I’m still trying to figure out how an outdoor warm weather sport like tennis got to be so popular in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Eastern Europe when there are sometimes only 3 to 4 months of good weather.
In any case when I see such sterling examples of beauty and athleticism in action it certainly gives me pause and makes me re-evaluate my attitude towards the game.
This is especially true if I get the chance to watch ladies like this getting all hot and sweaty while running back and forth chasing a fuzzy ball in skimpy outfits on a green court.
Hmm maybe i just answered my own question.

Think world’s number 1 Ana Ivanovic should be in the list as well.

Yes sir, and realize that all these beautiful women that are sucessful in one way or another are beautiful eastern european women or russian women!
I think that tennis is a great sport for women to get involved in especially when they wear the skimpy one piece dresses and no bra like Maria, but they sweat and scream and it gets me excited whenever I hear one of these beauties sweat and scream in their beautiful dresses and skirts!

Mascha dear, and Rita dear, these girls are great, but you two remain my favorites.

Dominika Cibulkova is from Slovak Republic, not Czech Republic.

Just Wow

OMG, is all I can say, of Elena Dementieva. WOW. I’ve been watching the Aussie Open, tennis, and just saw her playing last night. SHE LOOKS NOTHING like that 2nd pic!! That is simply a creation of God.
I just came upon your website, as I am a separated 48 yr old man and have to admit, have been “looking.” I am realizing life is FLYIN’ by, and I have for some reason decided (long ago) not to participate. NOT any more. Time has come to get moving and stop wasting life. As will happen, I (along with many other ’separateds’ I’m sure) want to find a woman with those “traditional values” that you all write about on these blogs. (This is my first time here and commenting…really, anywhere on any blog) I was on a certain dating site (& I have never dated anyone as I am still legally ‘bound’ and so under God – yes, I’m a believer – I know adultery and won’t go there) Using a “free” (ha!) trial there, I happened upon a yahoo e-m address. Investigating many of these sites, to see how they work, & IF they do – and there are SCAMS galore, I think you all know – I have become tired of sending out winks, hugs, one-liners, etc, to get a woman’s attention, just to get NO RESPONSE (anyone else?)… EVER. So around 2 a.m. about a week ago, I responded to a short e-m aimed at me that I saw, basically wondering if there was any intelligent life online. Out of total chance (ha, which I don’t believe in, because I think He has a great PLAN for our lives), a Slovic (Slavic? which?) blond, 28 yr old Russian beauty named Marina was at the other end, and kept writing, and writing, and … To tell you the truth, this is why I found your site. Long story short, we have been corresponding for about a week & 1/2, she is (was, as she left day before yesterday) a dancer in a Russian dance troupe and also an aerobic instructor, but has a college degree. She is the oldest girl in her family, she has a younger sis, and brother. Her dad died about a year ago in an auto crash. (You may be thinking that I am being taken in by a scammer. I don’t have that feeling with this one, as she sends 2 pg e-mails !!!, telling me all about herself, life, family, etc. It is too intricate a story and too involved to be made up)
To say that I wasn’t floored when she sent pictures is the understatement of the year. She actually looks Swedish or Norwegian, much like the actress that played the alien in “Species” and starred beside Willis in “The Whole 9 Yards”, Natasha Henstridge. (Really!!) She is from a very small town, and knows she has to get away to do something with her life.
What does all this have to do with tennis? Well, nothing but I thought I would tell you why I’m here and tell you ALL of my preconceived notions of big, fat, gruff Russian women with calloused hands are forever shattered.
M writes English incredibly well, and then dropped the bomb that she was planning to work abroad for 6 to 12 months, and (after about a week of writing and sending pics) told me that she had her bags packed and is coming to see me. She flew from Chelyabinsk to Moscow yesterday (is a grad of Chelyabinsk University!). I will most likely get another e-m tomorrow, telling of her itinerary and when I SHOULD pick her up at LAX!! ?? Well, what’s a guy to do, say NO? Not sure where she will stay or with who (I have a few connections, but I think the parents- yes, staying with them for the last 4 months since separating & searching for housing- might object a bit! Although if dad got to know her, there could be … what’s the opposite of the “cat fight?”)
But just from reading these posts and listening to Mascha (another sweetie), I must say that the old notions are out the door about these EU women! They seem bright, fun, ambitious, but with attitudes toward men that you don’t see here. Wow, you mean they may actually enjoy having someone take charge, open a door for them once in a while, and APPRECIATE it?! Vhat uh concept!! and they seem to all have smiles although maybe not having much to smile about.
I have always been that conservative, old-fashioned guy that hates bars and clubs. Being from S. Ca doesn’t exactly make it easy to meet people, with attitudes like they are here (and I’ve had a bad one too, many times) and in our “shiny, metal boxes” all the time. I didn’t know these women even existed. I am the eldest of 5 ‘kids’ but have no actual kids of my own. Have 9 nieces and nephews between my siblings. After meeting this one, and learning of the culture, character, and attitude of these beauties, my whole outlook has changed, and now thinking “wow, maybe I do want a few little ones of my own.”
I am a realist, I know things may or may not work out, but if they do and the ’separation’ turns into divorce (which is looking more and more the case), I may be picking up the Russian tongue very soon…
Input is appreciated, thanks for reading.

Oh, didn’t you forget about one of the biggest tennis “supermodels” …
Anna Kournakova? (sp?) she’s EU, yes?

Wow, Craig, you really lucked out! Yeah, I know what you mean about some of these sites being scams. Elena’s models is the only honest site I know of, but the quality of the women there is abysmal.

Maria Sharapova is the most nearly divine, IMO. Not a perfect 10, but a 9.5 for sure.

so where on this site r most recent posts? as i said, m new to this blog thing.& dont know much bout it. And I’ve see R_w man’s posts, is he the 1 that started this site? Funny thing, went to church this a.m. & it is ‘missionary week’ wher we all get updated on how ours r doin around the world, speaker was w – in his formr life, retired now – the LA PD, a captain. Now is an ambassador 4 the Gospel, 1st story he told was about travels to Russia! God has a great sense of timing, huh?
Well, Marina wrote & made it to Moscow. SO, couple ?s:
1 how do u know whether a EU woman is sincere in what they say? I m sure part of her coming here is 4 to make sure that the rest of her family has a bettr life & that is good. but I also dont want to be “played”. However, like i said b4, i do feel that she just wants a better life for herself;
2 what is the time it usually takes to fly from Moscow to LAX?
Thanks, & hope all is good for y’all…
