I get the feeling that the camera really loves this girl.
Even as she busily prepares for her final exams in mid June that will finish off her university studies she still managed to have a few more photos taken.
I guess the photographer had her strike some classic modeling expressions and poses this time.
And although I think these images are awesome, the real Jenya I know is best represented in the last photo.

What a nice sight to come home to after a hard day’s work. Thanks, Jenya and GL.

The last picture I like of Jenya especially, she’s so happy and that makes her even more beautiful to behold. Best of luck to her in her exams, I’m sure she’ll be one happy young lady when she’s awarded her degree.

It is somehow funny to see that you just have to post some photos of a beautiful girl to keep all the boys out there interested and dreaming 😉 You cannot deny that boys are still simple minds aren’t they? I must confess, I’m guilty too ….
It is nice to see that a cute girl actually picked a technical course of studies. I can only speak about my personal experience here in Germany. I graduated at my university about two years ago and there were only very few girls. Those girls did not even come close to Jenya. It seems that I either picked the wrong university or the wrong course of studies or maybe both? I guess computer science is probably the worst course of studies in regard of females attraction. I haven’t seen that many women in other technical courses at my uni either though. The government even introduced events like “Girls Day” to attract more females to actually pick a technical course of studies. From my experience this event didn’t increase the amount of womens though. Most of them tend to choose a course in the social science area.
At the moment I’m working as a consultant. This job gives me the opportunity to just join customers for a few days and see how things are working internally. I haven’t seen that many women during that time either. Those who I met were actually pretty good though. A few months ago I had the pleasure to work with one who was from a FSU country and I have to admit that she looked pretty good for her age. I really don’t want to know how she was looking about 10 – 15 years ago ….
Well, I’m drifting away. What I actually wanted to ask is whether there are more females who actually choose a technical course of studies in the FSU countries? I once talked to a girl who currently studies linguistics in Moscow. She told me that there are very little females who have been accepted for her course of studies. This fact was a little bit unexpected from my point of view. I didn’t ask for more details at that moment though. Things seem to be a bit different there in that regard too. Maybe you can reveal some more details one day ^^
Well, thanks for reading 😉

Totti, as a person who has 2 degrees 1st in Mechanical Engineering and my 2nd degree was the one in linguistics. I can say that technical universities have a very few girls doing their courses.
And universities for humanities can’t boast having more than 5%-7% of men.
Doing degree in linguistics and studying with mostly male classmates is only possible in the uni for military interpreters.

Kisha,
thank you for your reply. I only know that she is studying at Moscow University. I don’t think that it is a uni for military interpreters is it? She just mentioned that only a few females were accepted when she started studying and that they are accepting more females nowadays. This was a bit unexpected for me because I expected the numbers that you actually posted.
May I ask why you have chosen a technical course of studies? It would be interesting to know why you actually have chosen this way.
I general it is quite interesting to understand why humans actually do what they do. In my next life I’m going to study psychology. I think that’s a quite interesting course because it tries to explain these kind of topics doesn’t it?

Totti,
I’ve a different experience in male:female ratio at technical university. I got my computer science bachelor degree at 2001 at Moscow university. Of 300 students at computer science department for that year third were females, so about 100 beautiful girls. Of course more guys more opportunity to find that perfect one and merry him. 😉 And that exactly what most girls did by the time they graduated. These 300 students are separated into groups of about 30 students per group. We don’t have freedom in choosing what class and when/what semester we want to take it. Each group is assigned a schedule of classes and during 4 years of study we take classes together, sometimes class would include multiple groups. This way a very close bond is build between students. I’ve moved to US about 10 years ago and still very close with my friends in Russia from University years. My US university experience was quite different. I got my masters in computer science at 2004. I didn’t live at the campus and maybe that’s why didn’t make much friends there. Of 50 graduate students (it was small university) only 6 were girls and only 1 American girl among us. Kids at American university are different. And I say kids with a purpose here. I was twenty at masters program and people assumed I was thirty. Funny, I didn’t look like one, but was told that I dress and talk very mature. (I don’t understand pajama wearing to the class or any other place but bedroom.) It was (and still is) very difficult to make connections with Americans my age. I don’t understand their priorities, interests or small meaningless talk. And if I talk about latest opera I have seen, people get bored quickly. But I’m glad and consider myself lucky to get education in both countries. Each one has its own strengths and at the end mixture of both got me a great education and good opportunities at work. So I’m not a statistician, but these are my experiences in both countries. 😉
Have a great day,
Evushka

Evushka,
it seems that I have chosen the wrong university then. If I had known that before, I would have applied to Moscow University for sure. It is somehow fascinating to see that so many females have chosen the computer science courses. Maybe I’m going to study there in my next life 😉
May I ask you one question? Why did you choose to study computer science. Somehow I thought that maths and computer science are the least interesting courses for females. It seems that I was completely wrong.
I don’t know whether it is wise to marry someone who works in the same domain like yourself. On one hand you have someone who shares the same interests. He or she might can help you to solve a problem in that specific domain. On the other hand I see the potential conflict that you just come home and that you will resume talking about job related stuff. This way you might not get some distance to the job. Maybe it is better to look for someone who works in a different domain. This way you can also extend your horizon behind your own little boundaries. Maybe it is better to find some other common interests like music for instance. I highly lack experience in that area though. Maybe you can share your experiences?
I don’t think that there is a relation between the amount of friends and whether you live on the campus or not. What do you miss if you don’t live on the campus? In my case that were mostly parties. I gladly missed all those parties to be honest. I never understood why people go there just to become drunk. There was only one event that I didn’t miss during that time and that was the yearly prom. I must admit that I didn’t find that many friends during the time at the uni either. Those friends that I found are still very good friends and I meet them in a regular manner. From my point of view it is better to have a few very good friends rather than many platonic friends. It seems that I’m a bit wrong though if I see the growth of all those social networking platforms.
What you should keep in mind when you meet young people is that they are still in the process of growing up. It is a well known fact that the girls are usually ahead of the boys at the same age. The general development process and the difference are probably affected by the area where you grow up. It is more likely that you grow up faster if you live in a tough environment because you are somehow pushed to take over responsibility early. I don’t know at what age this is going to equal out. In many cases though, girls choose a partner who is a few years older than she actually is.
I can’t say much about the American citizens at the moment. I haven’t been in the states yet. This is going to change soon though. I’ve been invited to come over to the states for a few weeks this summer. This is going to be an interesting experience. It is only a short period and maybe not enough to judge that properly. I will see 😉
